Overview
Frames For All Reasons is located
at the Elk Meadow Center in Evergreen, Colorado. Among Mountain
Area art enthusiasts,
the shop
has
long been recognized as an affordable, professional resource
for framing a wide variety of works of art.
The shop was founded in August of 1981 by Julie Jones Mead,
who conceived an innovative and affordable framing establishment
for different works of art
--
paintings, 3-D art, sports jerseys, photographs, and prints.
Julie's son, Jim Molenda, joined the shop five years later.
Julie also envisioned Frames For All Reasons as a
venue
for
local
artists
in the
Mountain
community:
a
space
that would
support
artists
economically
and offer them the opportunity to exhibit their work locally,
while providing collectors an affordable way to enjoy professionally-framed
original artwork.
Frames For All Reasons mounts
new exhibitions each month; programs include
solo exhibitions; highlight award-winning art selections
for the annual Evergreen-area calendar; and include special
works
by Colorado special-needs artists. The shop maintains art
selections ranging stylistically from traditional still-lifes
and landscapes in varying media to cutting-edge computer-generated
pieces, and finely enhanced
photographic works of art.
Frames For All Reasons hopes that through exposure in the
shop, many local Mountain Area artists will have the opportunity
to further develop their creative work. The shop also supports
area special-needs artists by displaying and offering for
sale works whose proceeds help offset costs of care facilities
for enhanced quality of life for these artists.

Purchases
from Frames For All Reasons contribute to the Mountain Area
art community.
Patronage of the special needs artists' projects helps to
subsidize the region's enhanced living programming, especially
important during this period of declining public contributions
for special needs groups. All of the shop's clients have
the satisfaction of knowing that their patronage directly
supports
the
growth and development of working artists in their careers.
